Hi Iam am mounting a mink laying on a peice of drift wood In like a pond edge type habitat my question is how do I get the muddy pond water effect? Do I cover the entire surface with my peatmoss fake dirt and apply the area Of the pond edge with regular fiberglass resin enstead of regular water resin, and is it ok to put this over top of the peat moss bottom?
thanks Jason

they make resin dyes for coloring fibreglass resin ,i dont think they make Muddy Water LOL but some combination of them may do something of that effect .may help to kinda layer it in as well gradually less dye in each layer till it is clear,i can see the effect you are looking for but cant think of any surefire way of doin it
PS watch they grey resin dye, a little goes a long way.
auto body shops will have resin dye. try 1 small tube of grey and 1 of brown i'm sure with some testing you'll get something to work ,but go light
