I have a cat that seems greasy. I tanned it with krowtann. I fleshed it then washed it in coleman fuel to degrease as instructed before going into krowtann. After I nutrilized it, I again washed it in dawn, but that did'nt help. Any ideas?

Did you oil the skin after ya tanned it? Something doesn`t sound right to me. I`ve done close to 300 cats in the last 5 years and haven`t ever had one that wouldn`t degrease by just using dawn dishsoap..if ya used a tanning oil I`d guess the oil penetrated through onto the fur. I`ve been using Krowtan about 3 years and don`t use any oil on my cats. I just can`t help but think something other than the cats natural oils got in the fur somehow...
