The problem with porkies is that to "winterize" themselves, they crap in their dens. Then they crawl back in there as the manure generates heat through decomposition, hence "the smell". The only way to get rid of it is to wash you hide in SOAP. Warm soapy water will break down all the extraneous protein and can be washed away in a good rinse. During that final rinse, add a cap full of Downey Clothes Softener to the bucket. Let the hide soak in it for 10 to 20 minutes so that the underlying fur will be soaked as well.

mounted hair sheen will take the smell out INSTANTLY
