Want to use basic white to whiten a Dall sheep, but didn't recieve instructions. Do I need to neutralize the hair when finished? If so How? Thanks

I just completed a ram that was mounted in 1970 and was in such poor condition the owner figured he had nothing to lose. He said if it came up good his wife may even let him put it back on the wall. I used a mixture of basic white and 40% peroxide and mixed it until it became foamy. I just painted it on, let it set for about 20 minutes and actually took it outside and used a hose to rinse it off. after it dried I used and brush and shop vac and combed it out and it came out beautiful. The owner couldnt' believe it. Of course I needed to re airbrush the eyes and nose. There are some that say you need to put a conditioner in the hair because it will become brittle. I didn't but I don't doubt that in some cases this would be true. I hope this helps. Good luck.
