Ear magic

I just got some ear magic to give it a try. I like how my bear ears turned out but I had one problem. I saw on here that some guys said you dont have to sew all the hole up on the ear. ON the one ear I did sew all the holes up and the other ear I just sewed up the 2 major holes in it. There were a couple of small holes that i didnt sew. When I put the ear magic in and worked it to the edge it came out one of these holes and got on the hair. I could not get it totally off so now I have a hard spot in the hair on the edge of the ear. I was just wondering for next time, is there anyway to get this stuff out of the hair? Other than that I liked the way the ear magic works. Thanks for any help, Kevin

Next time that happens be sure and have laquer thinner handy. If you wipe the fur with a paper towel with the thinner it will clean it right off.

Wait until Ear Magic kicks and gets rubbery. At that point you can simply pick it out with your fingernail. If you wipe it you risk a bigger mess.

Try this for practice. Mix up just a bit of Ear Magic and glue a couple of tongue depressors or popsicle sticks together. Just after the Ear Magic kicks it stay rubbery for awhile. When it gets to that point peel of the excess with your fingernail, you'll get the idea.

Works well and isn't as dangerous as the Lacquer Thinner or Acetone.

wet the ear a little on the outside
then it will be easier to get off after it kicks
i keep my fingers wet also
and i dont use the rubber gloves at this point
they will keep you from sliding your fingers to form the ridged
parts
if your ear is a little wet and your fingers are a little wet its a snap
also keep a pail or a bucket of water to wasy your hands and keep them clean

and heated the mess up and it will get soft enough that you can pick it out as Steve suggested.
