I wanted to ask will usps insure pershibale frozen whole animsl shipped express mail for $100 bucks or if you loose the animal in the mail will they refuse to pay the money on the insurance claim since frozen whole animals are a perishable subjects also when they ask you what you are shipping. ''Should I say persihable taxidermy related items.'' I would apprecaite it if someone would fill me in on this.

Last summer I had 10 raw fleshed capes shipped UPS from PA. The guaranteed time was one day, so I didn't insure them. Big mistake! They sent them on a 7 day trip to who knows where.All spoiled. It took the shipper and me over 7 months to get the money from them.
I would say whole frozen animals wouldn't last as long as a rolled up cape, so you had better send them guaranteed overnight and insure the hell out of it.
I don't think the postal service is much better when it comes to "have to be there."
