Please - B4 u consider buying a cub think of where your supplier will get your produce from - do u want it dead to mount? or as a pet?
do you love wolves? As I think you probably do, there is nothing wrong with that, but wolves are first and foremost wild animals - not pets.
to get what your asking for "cheaply" where do you think it will b taken from? most likely the wild - and the parents don't tend to take too kindly to being disturbed so they in my experience as a hunter would most likely already be shot.
secondly the word "cheap" wolf pup doesn't hit the right note to me - any animal costs money what with food bills and vets bills, not to mention the ammounts of time that you will have to devote to a wolf, can you excersise it twice a day? can you buy it its high portein and fat diet which it will need to grow up healthy? do you know the basics in animal training, for instance toilet training your average puppy can be messy as well as frustrating - can you wolf puppy proof your house and garden? so that it doesn't escape? How would your neighbours feel with having a wolf living nearby? Do you have any other pets eg a cat or dog that might not get on with the new addition to the family? What if you are too busy to look after the pup or it becomes too much of a handful? What if it destroys your possesions - gnaws its way threw chair legs - if a yorkshire terrier can chew the leg off a kitchen stool I wouldn't like to see the state of a house if a wolf cub was cooped up in it all day presueming of course that you work 9-5 weekdays. What if it howls threw the night? Dogs on our estate are bad enough barking but wolves tend to be prone to howling which is a damn site more louder and not a pretty 3am alarm call I can tell you.
All I'm saying is that Wolves aren't cheap to buy, or to keep - and think how the person who supplies it to you has gotten it in the first place? Wolves are high maitanence dogs - with a certain majestic quality that people find so charming and alluring that they simply mistake the faint notion of a childhood dream of owning your very own wolf someday, to the stark reality of what you need to know and the costs involved.
You sound like the intelligent kind of person who'll take this on board - i hope so anyway. I wish you well. And if you still want to get a wolf why not do a little more research first? or borrow a friend/relatives dog for a while to give you an idea of what your letting yourself in for. A wolf is for life not just for christmas - :P Peace out xxx
