Restoring antique leopard skin

Hello

I wonder if anyone would be able to advise me on how best to restore an antique leopard skin that has been stored for many years.

The skin has been stored folded and although in excellent condition it is very hard. I am wondering how to soften the hide so that it will lay flat?

I would be grateful if you could provide me with any information.

Kind regards

I had a moose rug, that was old and stiff and folded, and I tried a few suggestions from some friends and it fell apart in the end. Ther eare people on the internet though that you can send it to to have it restored, they have all the necessary chemicals and equiptment. Good luck!
