I was just wondering about somethings with the stop-slip. I read you put it on fox ears and such, how do you apply it to these? And ike the deer hides or whatever else you might have problems with how do you apply it to those? Do you just soak the area or spray it on or what? And with the ears do you soak them in it also? I read too that it helps getting cartilage off, just wanted to know some more abouot the stuff, Thanks, Kevin

With Stop-Slip all you have to do is put it in a spray bottle or use a sponge to apply but if the hair is already loose it won't work. I always spray on any iffy spots after mounting and let it dry do not groom or touch to give the hair time to set. You can lightly groom to start with just to line up the hair patterns the leave it alone. I can't help you about the ear cartilage i use the bondo method myself. Hope this helps you out somewhat.
They are two very different things. Stop rot saves capes and softens cartilage. Stop slip is like a hair spray to put on the hair of animals that have been mounted and have loose hairs, It basically helps the loose hair cling to the non loose hair.
Kevin, the stop slip helps by shrinking the cape around the loose hairs,it kind of acts like a pickle solution except the cape is tanned and drying. If anyone doubts this try taking a ph reading on the stop slip.Mark Daniels from Knoblochs can give you more insight on this product.Hair thats already came loose is lost, this product just helps the other hair thats not quite that loose by shrinking up the skin some, but like any iffy areas-don't groom until throughly dry.I use a spray bottle for applieing-soak the area throughly and let dry.
I have used it and still dont understand it, Thanks John W. I think I will call Mark.
