Where to cut question

I have an otter that is setting in a taxidermists freezer just burning I guess. He has no ambishion to make some money evidently. I am wanting to take on the challenge of mounting him but have a question. I want to mount him in a swimming pose. Could I use a case skin since the front legs are forward and cut the back legs off the form and reattach them instead of making a dorsel cut? I know I will still have to cut the tail but for someone with a (slight lol) handicap in sewing wouldn't that be easier to hide?

Any other tid bits or advise on working this otter over would be great. Thanks.

In a swimming pose, you won't need to cut anything off. Otters are built with big butts and tiny tops. The skin is quite resilient and will easily slip over the front legs of the form. The tail will need to be split but that should be about all that's necessary.
