hair slippage on tail of fox mounted 1 & 1/2 week sago

Have mounted 2 other foxes & don't remember this problem. Should I just wait 2 more weeks to see if the skin dries & tightens? I have heard about a spray to stop slippage, but I didn't know if I should use on a fox tail since they are supposed to look full.

Thanks,
Randy Wilson

How do you know it "slipped"

Don't tell me you pulled it. That's not slippage and I seriously doubt it just fell off on the table. STOP PULLING THE HAIR. It will lock in when it's dry. The tail will be the last thing to dry as it's encased.

fox tails, slipping

yes they can slip, if all else fails , split them before tanning, sewing up a tail is better than one thats sliped
