Can someone tell me what would be the best way to ship and the best way to pack a frozen gopher if I was to sell one (or several), half way across the country. Thanks in advance, Al

? Idiots. Ship it frozen, next day air, in craploads of insulated newspaper and other forms of lightweight "insulation".
Rolling my eyes.
Once again I feel deeply compeled to apologize for the behavior of some of the people on this site. It never ceases to amaze me how "brave" and cruel anonymity can make some people. Although "?'s" advice was good, he or she did not mention, mailing on a Monday is advisable also. Once the package is out of your hands, even overnight packages have been delayed or detoured by a carrier. Mailing on a Monday will at least prevent the package from sitting somewhere over the weekend if it does get delayed along the way. Also a styrofoam cooler with your frozen specimin, well packed and insulated, packed inside a cardboard box, gives a bit more assurance of arriving frozen.
Kind regards
I appreciate the advice, Mary.
I would also like to apologize to "?" all I wanted was to get it right the first time. And I'm also sorry that I made you read and go to all the trouble of answering an idiot question. Because I was thinking I would thaw it out for a couple days and then pack it in a bunch of activated hand warmers in a flat rate box and hope it got to the destination before it slipped and spoil.
