I am in the process on doing my first shoulder mount of a Texas Longhorn. What is the method to get the horn off the core.And is it better to use a form with a core on it or usr the skull cap with the original cores.

soak horns and skull in water - let excesss drip off - get a heavy BLACK plastic bag and put skull in it - hang in a tree in the sun for 2-4 weeks - they will rot off
