I'm having a heck of a time with this stuff. I broke down and bought the cast nose/lip video to get some "reference" and the Mohr "Flesh" they use in the video looks nothing like the paint I have...not even close.
The paint in the video has a nice "fleshy" tone but the stuff I have is PURPLE.
My first thought is that I'm applying too much paint...but I don't see how I can get good coverage with any less than what I'm applying.

be sure you mix it up good. I know what you are talking about (purple ) paint it flesh colour first then mohr litely over it , if to dark then use flesh over it and just dust it.
That paint is formulated to be applied very lightly.Look at how the Mohr jawset is painted. It is painted very sparingly allowing some of the off-white plastic to show through. That's how you need to paint the plastic mouth.I keep the jawset right beside me when painting the plastic mouth.I paint areas of the mouth to correspond with the adjacent areas of the jaw,so they match. You have to mist lightly and let some of that white plastic show through to get the right color. Those jawsets are not painted with a flesh color. It's a brownish-purple color, lightly applied. That with the white color underneath, makes the final color.
