I'm a beginner, one deer mount to my credit. I want to do a shoulder mount of a coyote. Are the basics the same as a deer. That being you split the lips to tuck? How about ear liners? It would seem that a coyote ear would be really difficult to turn? Any tips overall would be appreciated.

If you can mount a deer, you won't have no problems with the coyote.Once you get by the smell, you will have no more problems. The ears will turn quite eaisly, Just make sure to turn them completely out. Good luck
