Anyone here mounted a Brockett Deer? Looking for a form w/o much luck. Looks similar to a Roe, but not sure. Any suggestions.

I have mounted a few and have a few more to do. Currently there is only one form on the market and that is a lifesize with Research Mannikins. My outfitter told me that someone from McKenzie was at his camp and took molds, measurements and bones from a brockett deer so I imagine that we shall see some forms from them in the future. Research will pour you just the shoulder form but it cost 60 percent of lifesize "ouch" I used a Roe buck shoulder form but it has to be reduced in size. Also the ears have no hair on them and that makes it tricky. I've altered earliners and I've used ear-magic but I'm not satisfied with either. For my next brockett I think I will make a mold of the ears and cast it with a clear plastic or even ear-magic. Using the bonded method with ear-magic is frustrating because you have to work fast and all lumps and bumps are exposed on their bald ears. Good luck!

Try a White-tailed deer fawn

I mounted a 1/2 lifesize brockett deer a couple of years ago. I started with a lifesize WTD fawn and began altering it. It took quite a bit of alteration for the shoulders and body, but the face was near perfect. The ears are rough to do, but just be patient.
Good luck.
