Any tips on the best way to attach the fake beaver tail
to the mannikin? I did'nt know if heavy gauge wire would be
secure enough. The tail is one of Van Dykes, and looks pretty
nice. Should this be painted also?

The ones I've used from McKenzie have a pocket at the base and that fits over the forms tail butt. The Van Dykes tail appears to butt up to the tail butt.If that's the case,I would toe-nail it on with 3" or so drywall screws.Jaw Juice could be used as a glue also, but I would definitely use the screws. If you are worried about a crack opening up between tail and form, spray 3M 77 spray glue around the juncture of tail butt and form, let dry 1 minute and wrap duct tape around it.
Great idea jim. I appriciate the help. I was thinking two
9ga. wires sticking in the form and in the tail, but this
sounds a lot more secure. Again, Thanks for the help. Scott Olson
made my own, just secure with 2 wires test fit skin and clay around the seams from the manikin to tail to smooth things out.
First off, thank you guys for the help. First beaver, and got great answers. Thank you much. Thanks for WASCO for hosting this site. This
has been invaluble for me for the knowlege i gain.
