I have some snowshoe rabbits to do. I know rabbits in general are trickey. Have any of you mounted any of these? What type tanning was used, sewing tricks if any and what type earliner was used and any thing else you feel is helpful. Thank you in advance

Yes I have mounted lots of them. I have used just about every type of tan and dp, they all work, though I like tanned over dp'd myself. Though the dorsal cut works best for me, most would rather use a belly cut. I use white dental floss for sewing but others like to use a light weight mono fishing line. Rather than earliners, I card the ears with molds made of fiber glass casts of rabbit ears (snowshoe or cotton tails) you could just use any carding. My advice, GO SLOW! the skin is like wet tissue. I like to make a relife cut from the feet pads to the knees. This is the only area I allways seem to have trouble with.
