Anybody know the weight of a salted-dried african elephant bull hide (for lifesize), and the weight of a lifesize mannikin for it?

Probablly close to 500lbs. Maybe more.
I got different answers, somebody spoke about 150 lbs, and so the mannikin too. I read in the Breakthrough Magazine something about 1000 lbs - the weight of the form. What now?
Hey Martin the last L/S elephant we mounted weighed 3500 lbs raw salted and weighed 550 lbs after we got it back from New Method. The finished mount weighed about 3000 pounds total with the base and steel amature.
