I'm not sure what you mean

by calling it garbage. Did they do something to tick you off? I have been to that place and its great for reference. Sure they may not have the same views on animals that we(taxidermist) do. But they have taken in alot of cats that otherwise would be dead or living in deplorable conditions. I really enjoyed my trip there, and from what I could tell they actually take good care of the animals. When I go to Florida to visit my brother, I will probably stop there again. I mean, how often do you get to see lions, tigers, leopards, cougar, lynx, bobcats, and others at the same place close enough to take good reference pics and video?

I think what the original poster implied is that an organization like this is likely a staunch supporter of stopping hunting of any and all wild cats. It's a safe assumtion I think. Though I agree with you that their saving wild cats that came from captivity where conditions were deplorable is a good thing.

If it's the place in Fla ...

Some time back, the owners husband mysteriously *dissapeared*. Those in the know in the business say that hubby got fed to a couple of lions for not going along with some changes that wifey wanted. Cops never searched the kitty litter box I guess. A lot of these places are bunk. They take animals in only to breed more of them for themselves to use for cute baby animal pictures and they charge folks plenty just to hold one. It's not a "rescue" but a cleverly disguised commercial enterprise. True rescue places NEVER breed their animals. Knowing full well that there are too many circulating in the hand me down market already.

NUTS!

Those people are nuts! Click on thier pictures section and read some of the crap they wrote. Seems they think these cats are talking to them.
"Missouri (one of thier lions) speaks to us of the Eagle who represents Spirit. She wants us to remember that we are all connected to each other and to the Great Spirit. Loving yourself the way the Great Spirit loves you will heal your broken wings and allow you to fly into the illumination of lofty ideals. Missouri may be caged in this life, but her spirit soars with Eagle and she wants you to come fly high with her. Take heart and gather courage because the Universe is calling you to discover your true Spirit."
