I took a nice bear last fall and want to do a lifesize mount. I do a lot of fish but never a life size mammal.I see the cost of forms is quite high compared to fish. Well my question is about a certain form made by Precision Mannikins, BB 252 LS, if anyone is familure with this particular form I'd appreciate any input, good or bad reguarding
this form compared, maybe to others on the market.
THANKS Paul

Hi Paul, that # sounds real familiar, Carol has used it and/or its slightly smaller counterpart a couple of times. They were a couple of the easiest fitting bears she ever mounted, but that couold be a fluke, bears vary so much in their build and head size on bears of the same length body wise, you're never real sure how they will fit, no matter whose form, until you try it.
If I remember, the form you're talking about is just a plain walking, with the head turned right. There's not much action to it, turning the head a little more and raising it if I remember right will help, but it does make a real nice relaxed mount. Overall I think you'll be happy with it. Oh yea, don't do any cutting or bondoing on the body untill you know it will work, other wise you won't be able to return it if it doesn't fit.
