I am deeply interested in knowing how to make toilet seats out of unsaturated polyester resin (clear). It is important for me to know the chemical contents, the catalyst used to harden it and what I should look out for to minimise mistakes when mixing those two together.I deeply hope there is someone out there who can help.

Thermoset resins are very brittle. What gives them there strength is the fibre reinforcement. But then they won't be clear. I think that a 200lb man sitting on a polyester seat would break. Why do you want to use polyester resin? Is this just the seat or the lid as well?
