Melting Clay ?

Im altering a form in preparation to mold it in fiberglass. YES it is my original form. Most of the flaws from cutting it, etc. are minor in nature. Is it possible to melt the plastalina clay to a "paintable" consistency and apply it with a brush?
THANKS !

You can get the clay soft and possibly soft enough to brush. You can for sure fix the defects in the original.

My only caution is this. The clay will get hot during the application and setting process of the fiberglass due to the heat in the process. Just something to keep in mind.
