You then paint the inside of the mold with the paint, while it is still wet, put your mix of concrete in the mold.
Your paint has to be wet or it will flake off the concrete.
If you want to make the rocks out of resin, you can mix the resin with sand, blend in a little oil paint for color, and fill the mold, or just coat the inside with a thickness of 1/2" or less. You can then fill the rest of the rock with foam.
You can also paint the inside of the mold with paint and then pour the resin in, but it has to be mixed a little hot so it will cook the paint right on the mold. OH, you still need the release on both.
I would like to take the oportunity and ask you something about the
colour...we wont to make artificial stones
from cement.do we have to dissolve water with the iron oxide colour before
we put it in the mold ?do we have to apply with brush on it ?
What you want to do can sometimes be called "dusting" the mold. First you'd have your body color added to cement mixer's mix then you'd dus the molds with a face color or colors. The face color/colors aren't just pigments, it's a formalation of various products.
