i would like to take the oportunity and ask you something about the
colour...we wont to make artificial stones
from cement.do we have to dissolve water with the iron oxide colour before
we put it in the mold ?do we have to apply with brush on it ?
paint it , look at the rock that you are reprodusing if the rock is black and brown and a little yellow paint it with those colours.
If the rock is big enough you can use spray booms and take your time and stray from a distance 18" and dust it, all depends on whjat you are trying do do.

If you are casting concrete then all you need to do is dust the iron oxidizes pigment on to the surface of your molds and cast on top of it.
I am looking for additive to concrete for artificial stones. It should to be mixed with concrete and make the product lighter. Also what type of cement is the best? Any suggestions what to mix?
Thank you.
Denny.
White portland cement mixed with any color iron oxide pigment you want for your base stone color and pumice aggregate .Typically, a mix is about 10 to 15 percent cement, 60 to 75 pumice aggregate and 15 to 20 percent water. Entrained air in many concrete mixes may also take up another 5 to 8 percent. Then you will need to vibrate the molds to remove air that will weaken the stones and leave bug holes on the surface.
