i want to konw if you can actually make alginate or plaster

No you cannot make plaster or alfinate.

As cheap as either is why try? You would have to proccess kelp to make alginate and have a mine for gypsen (sp) and kilns for drying either, then for plaster you have to add quick lye.

I would rather spend 10 bucks to make what I can buy for 5 bucks then tell every one I made it my sef. That is who taxidermist think! What does being business minded have to do with any thing?

Some taxidermists actually run thier shops as an actuall bussness, an buy theer stuff-supplies to be ecanomical and things. Some even went to english class, Just a thought.


Why don't you do some research and go to the plants that...

make the stuff and I bet you can spend a ton of money traveling and buying all the equipment and so forth. Not to mention a new shop, trucks to haul in raw material, storage facilities for the raw material and the tailings, not to mention all the legal stuff like disposal permits and etc...
Plaster is not that dificult to make, Everyone does it don't they?
I bet every one has a nice Gypsum quarry right next to their house as well. No one really wants to rain on your parade though. Go a head and produce it. figure it out and let everyone know how it went.
