Hi I would like to know if you could tell me how glass eyes are inserted into castings? for example like a religious statue with glass eyes. Does the latex mould have to be made for this? Thanks!

Latex eye casting for glass insertion of religious statues

No, the latex mould ("mold" to us pros) does not need to be made first for the eye castings, at least not initially! When the heat emulsion reaches 310-377 centigrade, it's a good idea to transfer the latex to a non-pressurized medium so the eyeballs will remain in tact, thus insertion will go more smoothly. You could also use a coathanger.
