Making a fiberglass mold from plastic

My friend has a large standing plastic wolf. I would like to make
a mold from this wolf, so I could make a couple fiberglass wolfs.
What is the best product to make mold from plastic, and what would
you use to put on plastic to get the mold off Thanks

how the maker of the original would feel about you copying it?

I could tell you how

...but since you didn't make the original I see no reason to help you steal the work of another. Why don't you carve an original and then make a cast to reproduce YOUR artistic work?

You can legally make a copy...

You can legally make a copy, that is not illegal. What you do with the copy can be, ie. selling them.

Hi mould maker, I would suggest a vinyl mould or rubber, but vynil is better, cover the wolf in melted vinyl, then when this has hardened, cover the outside vinyl in plaster, quiet thick, make it as square like as possible, it would be better if you could do it in two halfs but the measurements are always a bit tricky, so I would suggest, do one half let it harden, then paint the edges of the plaster with varnish, quiet thickly, and proceed with the other half, the varnish will stop the other half of the plaster sticking. when you remove the moulds the vinyl should sit perfectly within the plaster allowing you to pour in resin. hope this helps.
