Hi, I am looking for molding for casting Balustrade (baluster, railing top/bottom, Newel Post, Post cap, etc). Anyone can recommend where to purchase the mold?
Also I am interested in GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete), is there any existing formula (e.g. 1 part of cement + 1 part of anti-akali glass fiber?) Where can I purchase anti-akali glass?

Have you tried or looked into Smooth On's Duo Matrix Neo or some of their other Matrix products? It's a composite of Alpha Gypsums, Latex, and resin material thats fireproof and weather resistant. It can even be layed up with chopped glass.

Call Ball Consulting, Ltd. 888-967-7727 They have an instruction folder they can send you. They also carry the polymer additive and the chopped glass fibers for GFRC. You can also make the molds of the Balustrade parts yourself if you wanted to. If you're looking for a company who does all the molding and casting Ball might know some you can call.

PS- as a side note. The Matrix Kevin is talking about is a modifies gypsum. A liquid polymer is added to the gypsum instead of water making it usable for outdoors plus a few other ingrediants (no running water applications though).
