2 part foam not rising, what the hell?

OK.I made the mold of the goat(separating the legs from body),use several layers of shellac and then several layers of Johnson wax paste. Now the legs came out perfect,BUT,when i go to foam the body, the foam will not rise, what the hell?I have preped the body the exact same way that i did on the legs at the same time.I dont get it.Is it a possibility that the foam mixture is getting too hot before i mix it?Or is the wax not "dry" enough? So again i appreciate all of your help.

Nina, how old is your foam

it does have a shelf life... Also if it is too cool, it will be less resonsive..

Put each part in disposable cups and place them in the mocrowave for 15-20 seconds. Then mix them, and shazam. This makes older foam work.

On your problem of the foam not raising for the main body but it did raise for the legs, you are probably mixing a larger batch for the main body but you just might not be a mixing it enough. For a large batch you just might want to use a mixer in a hand drill to get a complete mix of the two parts. If that don't work give me a call tomorrow morning. Also cd is correct on having warm foam but be carefull not to get it to warm 80 degrees would be fine.

Super

The foam is new.I did have it in the garage so it was pretty hot.I will try to mix it longer.I think that im too cautious when i do the smaller amount.I will give it another go...Thanks again
