air in resin pours

I am casting resin into small closed molds and finding it very common that air bubbles remain or get trapped inside,,,any hints on a [low tech preferably] way to get air out? thanks

what I do is heet it with a torch while it is in the liquid stage and this will heat the bubbles and draw them to the top.JOhn

Whenever I have to pour a resin cast and do not have a pressure pot (which vacuum seals and pushes out the air bubbles) - I just take the container and tap the base on the ground (surface you are working on) a couple of times. This helps push the air bubbles up and out..

But then, you have closed molds...

So in fact, it is best to do this with your mold, as if you create air bubbles in your mold, they will definitely show up in your resins - in which case you can fill the openings with Zap-A-Gap super glue (quickly cure it by using Zip Kicker accelerant), then sanding and painting over.

Also, the temperature you are working in may effect the work. And if you are storing resins where there is a lot of moisture, the moisture will wreck your resin. Good luck!
