Has anyone ever used polester parfilm release?
Is it nice? Would it work for casting urethane foam in a fiberglass mold?
Thanks, Jake

Jake , I'm not sure what that is but you might be talking about PVA wax . If you are thats not good for foam . If your making foam forms in a fiberglass mold just make your own release wax . Mix equal amounts of kerosine and melted parafin wax . Make sure the wax is cooled down a little before adding it to the kerosine . I use an empty metal gallon paint can , fill 1/2 way with kerosine and pour in the melted wax and mix . Do this out side . When Im ready to make molds I just scoop a little into a pot and stick in on a hot plate , then use a paint brush and coat the mold . P.S. , this is the same stuff Van Dykes sells as a mold release . Sounds good. WASCO sells Parfilm. It says its good on urethanes and polyesters, so Im supposing it works, but I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience with it. And yes, I am making my own forms.
