Latex cast gummed up in plaster mold- what the heck?

I've had plenty of experience with latex casts in plaster molds, but I've never seen this before. The cured latex comes off in gooey little chunks. It's definatly stuck in the deep regions of the mold. I tried pouring fresh latex in, hoping it would stick and pull the bad latex out, but no luck.

It's ruined the cast, yes, but what about the mold? Anyone know of a cleaning agent or solvent that will clear things up? And anyone know what happened? I can only guess that my latex was contaminated somehow. Thanks!

It was because it had froze before I think. ANyway that is what I was told. I have heard of soaking in diesel fuel to melt silicon but I do not know about laytex. Maybe alcohol. I know it melts the latex paint. Or try some acetone.
