Smooth-On Dragonskin Thinner

I bought some dragonskin a while back for a project I'm doing and now I finally got to using it, but it's WAY too think for what I need to do. I need to be able to pour it into a mold and then vacuum out all the bubbles, but this stuff is about the consistancy of a thick custard. Is there any thinning agents I can add to the dragonskin to help it pour, but keep it's amazing elasticity?

Dragon Skin is supposed to be thin. If its thick, its probably an old batch. Smooth-on has a thinner that would do the trick though.\btw, what is your project?

btw, besides dragonskin smooth-on sells ecoflex, a softer version of
dragonskin. They also sell "slacker", which softens it even more. You can add a bit of that to your dragonskin. Dont use to much, or silicone oil will keep leaking out making your casting sticky.

Old Silicone

How old is your Silicone? The lot number printed on each part bottle should tell you. A lot number like 56890 would tell you it was manufactured in May of 2006 (hense 5-6 being the first two numbers). If your material is over 6 months old, it may simply be old, and adding thinner may not do anything if it is simply old.
