i just received a coral snake which is in my freezer. could someone give me a step-by-step process on taxidermy. i would like to have a mount vs. just skin. thanks, leigh

Practice on other snakes before you attempt a coral. The head can not be skinned off completely, you have to leave the uper eye orbits and skull cap in place. You will have to cast or mold your own mannequin. there are plenty of other snakes to practice on before you attemp a thin skinned snake like a coral ifyou want a good job. I would be happy to wholesale mount it for you, but to give you step by step instructions on how yo do it in an e-mail will be close to impossible, Not rrying to discourage you, but corals are tough to do right for the most experienced taxidermist
