Tanning a Sea-Snake skin

Submitted by Fran on 01/27/2004. ( seaex@sea-ex.com ) 203.46.181.135

I have been given two air/sun dried sea snake skins, and was told that if I tanned them (to put on a board) that they would show up their natural colours again. Can anyone tell me how to do this (it was suggested 50% diesel and 50% detergent)

I'm in Australia and don't have any idea where to get the products that I have been reading about in this forum.

Bad suggestion

Where do they come up with these suggestions? Do not use what they suggested. Order the Rittels snake tan kit from Bruce Rittel, or you can order one from me. The directions are simple, and you will be left with a tanned leatherskin for what ever purposes you intend for th skin.
