freeze dry rattlesnake or mount on form?

Submitted by Jeff on 05/18/2004 at 17:30. ( )

Can someone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of freeze drying a rattlesnake? What does it cost? Where can I get it done? Can an open mouth pose be done? Any info you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks

It retains most of the meat and fleshy muscle inside the mouth and body itself, there for over time it will be a smorgasborg for bugs! I dont care what the freeze dry guys tell you, it will! second, from my experience, freeze drying costs about the same, and most times more! so why pay more money for an unsure short lived thing, when if it is done conventionally, will last a lifetime!

Form all the way!

I like Mr.Voyer have yet to see a freeze dried mount that was not eaten by bugs.

Its hard enough to keep bugs out of normal mounts let alone with all that food so handy.

Form it is then!
