I have a western diamondback skin. Not a large one and damaged by the guy that killed it; but I have cleaned it well, tanned it and it is tacked to a board. I am looking to see if there is a trick to cutting the snakeskin. I want to try making hatbands, but have never tried any of this before. Is it a trial and error sort of thing, or do any of you have any advice?
