Killing a snappin turtle

What is the best way to kill a turtle without shooting it? Drowning, nor freezing works. I want to mount it and place it in my dead petting zoo! I would like to get it freeze dried.

it usually takes better than an hour but they need air to survive.

i tie a slip not then put it in front of the snapers head then put a stick in front of him through the slip not get him to bite the stick and pull the rope as hard as you can hang it in a tree and the more he moves the tighter th not gets
( carefull afterwards they move for days after death )
