Hello all, I need some help/info. for prepairing and tanning a fish skin with scales attatched. Also, individual scales only so that once they are finished they will not curl and turn dark.
I need the skins to stay flexible somewhat like a leather.
I will be doing small fish and large fish ranging from perch to 46 inch salt water red fish.
I am not mounting these. I need the skins with scales and then individual scales for sculpting projects that I do.
Also, does anyone know what I can clear coat these with once done to protect them?
And do you know if once these are completed if they would withstand a temperature of 265 degrees for about 30 minutes without damage and color change?
