How long will a snake last in a freezer before they get freezer burn? I caught one about 10 days ago and one on Sunday. I put them in plastic bags and was wondering how long they will last. Should i skin and tan them this weekend? Thanks an advanced!

I had a few rattlesnake skins in the freezer for 18 years. Tanned just fine, no problems.
I`ve been tanning snakes out for about 30 years and I`ve inherited whole collections that died from natural disasters such as 40 I got from one fellow after the big Northeast blackout some years back. To make a long story short I`ve had snakes in the freezer for over 2 years before I could get to them to skin and tan them out. Had a 22 foot anaconda in the freezer for about 21/2 years and when I got to her she was fine no burns. Wrap them tight no air we use plastic and butcher paper.
