I use a Formic Acid pickel and a Lutan F tan. Is Liqua-soft tanning oil compatable with this process. Thanks for your help.

I also use formic and lutan-f(n) I really like the stretch I get from Pro plus oil from Bruce Rittle, Just about any of the big supplies companies sell it, you mix one part oil to 2 parts hot water. I think I have tried just about all the oils on the taxidermy market and this oil wins hands down for stretch, cost, and ease of applying.
thats just my preference. It's a good idea to try a few to see what works best for you. Dave

Yes the Liqua Soft is compatible with the Lutan. You may
also use the Tanning oil #1, both are great oils that you
will get great results and great softness with.

We found one of the best oils available, is from SENTRY/C.S.C. It is a very clean, penetrating and softening oil, invented by SENTRY for use in softening dense fibers without loading the skin with greasy feeling raw oils. You can probably get it from your supplier or try their 800# 800-868-1454
