I purchased a cow hide rug and the edges are curling up. Any suggestions? If I trim the curled part off will it continue to curl?
Thanks for any suggestions!

The short answer to your question is yes. Cowhide consists of different grades of leather. The back bone area is the toughest and best for most leather working. The belly area (the edges of your rug) are the worst in that they are prone to stretching (cow bellies swell like us old men's do). This leather is often used for shoe soles. If you recall, if they don't wear a hole in the center, they squish out around the seams. If there is any traffic at all across the rug, it will only exacerbate your problems.
