I was recently given a very old spotted cat of some sort tanned skin. I send all of my rug work off so I don't know much about rugs. This is a beautiful skin. It is very dry,almost brittle. It seems to be in pretty good shape as all the hair is still intact. My question is----What can I do to brighten the fur and also "soften" it to make it last longer and not be so brittle?
