did it tan well???

on my deer capes i use a formic acid pickle,shave well,nutrelize,spin in wash machine,salt lightly,let sit for 1/2 hour,warm liqa tan,rub on,stretch on boards and hang to dry.im unsure if the hide side is dry enough before applying liqa tanbecause sometimes i get run off.my hides look whitish yellow did it tan well??

Skip the salt

I think it's better to remove as much salt as possible,don't add to it.

After you spin your capes or skins, you can let them sit for up to 2 hours, prior to applying Liqua Tan. After you let it sit you can warm up the Liqua Tan then apply. No need to apply any salt after the pickle. The salt will draw up the skin and make penetration tuff. You may swabb it Liqua Soft or Tanning Oil #1 about 18 hrs later.
