Would it be o.k. to salt a bobcat hide then freeze before you are ready to tan? Thanks in advance.

Dry it out then rehydrate later

The purpose of salting is to dry the hide out and partially prepare it for later processing. By air drying it you stop whatever bacteria growth that is present. Freezing it does'nt do this. Salt prevents freezing and bacteria could further grow.
