I was wondering if it's OK to rehydrate an Elk cape to see if it fits the
manikin. It's REAL small compared to the manikin but the original measurements
call for the maninkin size....Is it ok to let it dry and then rehydrate it again when the new manikin arrives?
That pretty much says it, I would not recommend drying it out and then rehydrating
it. That probably would work but I would say it's probably asking for trouble of
some sort. I try to freeze all my rehydrated capes, it seems to help the stretch.
I agree , If you let the hide dry back out it most likely will loose some of its stretch.
And depending on the quality of the tan it could even start to rip in some places.
