Washing the Blood out

This response submitted by Dave at VanDyke's Taxidermy Supply Co. on 1/11/01. ( dave.belanger@cabelas.com )

Hello Rob,

An excelent product to use to remove the blood out of your cape and hair is BLOOD EATER. This is a Bruce Rittel product.
If you completely salt dry your capes, you can add it into your relaxer bath. If you salt twice for 48 hours, and the cape or hide is nt totally dried out, you can use it by itself.Dont over use this product, as very little is needed to do the job.
Either one of these steps are to be done before you go to your pickling process.
Rinse out with clear cold water and put cape into the pickle!

I hope that this has helped you.If you have any more questions one this matter, Feel free to call me at (1-800)843-3320 ext. 105 or e-mail me at this addess.

Have a great day out there everyone!
