I tanned a cow hide with ez100 and oiled it with Liqua-oil and and tumbled it for hours. Its still like a rock. How do I make it soft
for a rug?
If you didnt shave it - it may be hopeless! Also I'm not familiar with the Oil you mentioned, so I cant really comment - except to say that some oils work better with some tans. I also have to assume, that if it was shaven that you are also tumbling it in at least a 6'X 4' Drum and nothing smaller - along with 100 Lbs. of sawdust (2 50 Lb. Bags). Otherwise - it just will not soften.
