Hello all, I havent been here for quite a while, but i need to get back into taxidermy because im usingn it as an example for one of my business classes, and i need to do a few nice mounts, now anyway, i was wondering what is a good tan to use on a lamb (bout fawn size) and what shoul i use to clean out the fur. its pretty dirty. i was thinking about using auto taner, but maybe Lutan would be better? any ideas, tips? also i still havent found a form and its been about a year since i have had the thing frozen...i need some suggestions here please...

thanks

It's easy to wrap a body or do a carcass cast. I leave the leg bones in attached at the toes, clean the skull. Tan in the auto tanner, wash out goodafter your pretan. After you flesh,I wash them in an old washer.Remember your washing most of the tan out too so when it goes back in for final tan, it'll have to be in awhile.I've done quite a few for Nativity scenes at local churches and they've come out nice using this method, good luck to you.......
